Bluebirds are very active on our property right now. They swoop low and dart about while the grass is being cut. And they do love the mealworms!This is an ACEO that I painted in 9/2006.

Yay for old-fashioned Peonies! Our painting class has been arranging and painting flowers recently. Some dramatic dark peonies were paired with pink ones in the arrangement I chose. These were a great starting point before painting the white ones I painted at a later date.

Fallswoods Oil Landscape Painting Forest Woodland Nature Hiking Creek

This was a very attractive scene to me and I was excited to catch some of the feeling of it in paint.  The water was rushing through a heavily wooded area and the sun was lighting up the background through the trees.  I enjoyed painting the big rocks too but they were a challenge.
