Cantaloupe Slice

Oil Painting Fruit Art Still Life Melon Garden

Oil on Raymar Panel 6" x 8" .

This is one of my favorite fruit still-life paintings from the past.  A slice of cantaloupe with a red and white checkered cloth and the glass bowl for reflections. It was fun and rewarding for me to put these visually yummy things together and paint them against a dark background.

I really like the use of colors in this one. And yes I do agree with you on the dark background, it really pops out the melon. Makes me want to get a slice out of my fridge now.... Keep on posting!!
