Forest Passage Watercolor Tree Landscape Woods Interpretations

"Forest Passage"

Watercolor on paper, 11.5" x 8.5".

This is my painting for "out of the box" day on Daily Painters. It's an interpretation of my idea of a welcoming forest path in glowing sunlight. This is something I see as a visualization image for meditating or relaxing before a day of painting or to unwind after a crazy schedule. It is painted in a loose, impressionist way that is a little different for me. I enjoyed playing with the wet into wet washes and pulling lights from the almost dry watercolor paper.
Thanks for visiting!
