Miniature donkeys still have their thick winter coats at this time of year. Lots of currying is needed to make this little guy slick for the summer. His mane and ears can be trimmed too, but I sometimes prefer the fuzzy look. The 3/4' sides are painted making it ready to hang without framing if desired.

This was a working cowboy's horse at a fun local event.  He was in the lead ahead of a covered wagon offering rides to event goers.  He took a break here and was enjoying the attention of many fans around him.  His closed eyes reminded me of gentleness and calm.  I loved his unusual and beautiful face and was especially attracted to the golden mane.
