Hydrangeas in Glass Oil Flowers Glass Vase Still Life Botanical Garden
Oil on stretched canvas, 14" x 11" x 3/4".
I cut some fluffy, bushy blooms from my hydrangeas and painted them in a vase with bright light from a window. The blooms start as green and turn a creamy yellow with blue edging, and they end as a lovely blue and white color. I wish I could have these flowers growing all around my house but they only thrive on the north side where they are shaded most of the time. The staple-free sides are painted so that the painting can be hung unframed if desired.
