Oil on canvas, 9" x 7".
A friend's husband acquired an older Jeep to work on for fun and I wanted to paint it when I spied it in her driveway. It's strange for me to have a compulsion to paint a vehicle!

Seashell Pair Oil Painting Still Life Mollusk Nautical Seaside Beach Ocean Sand
Watercolor on Arches watercolor paper, 5.5" x 7.5".
Merry Christmas! Seashells, sand and the ocean are welcome images for many people in the winter season. I painted some shells of my own and imagined the part about the sand, sea and sun. I could get lost in admiring their form and details. I hope that the watercolors captured their sense of wonder!

Mini Schnauzer Oil Painting Pet Portrait Animal Commission Art Dog
Watercolor on Arches watercolor paper, 11" x 9".
Schnauzer are amazing dogs to paint, especially in watercolor I believe. In this medium I can showcase their characteristic "haircuts". This girl's eye shines from beneath her bushy eyebrow and her profile is so attractive. I'm very happy that I could finish this particular commissioned portrait before Christmas.
If you'd like to commission a painting please contact me.
Visit my gallery -- SOLD.

Serious Calico Oil Painting Pet Portrait Animal Art Cat Feline
Watercolor on Arches watercolor paper, 8" x 10".
I used the same beautiful Calico cat, Sarah, as a model again. This time I painted her in watercolors and not oils. I especially like the transparent color washes of the background which frame the cat's figure and helps to set a mood. Her neatly folded paws were a treat also. I think I will be doing more watercolors for a while along with my oils. Love them both! (sometimes).
If you'd like to commission a painting please contact me.

Christmas Puppy Oil Painting Pet Portrait Animal Art Golden Retriever Puppy
Oil on hardboard, 6" x 8".
Puppies are sometimes the cutest when they're a little tired and starry-eyed I think. This young Golden Retriever puppy looks tuckered out but happy. Maybe she's trying to stay awake and not miss any fun. I hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas season!
If you'd like to commission a painting please contact me.

Christmas BurroOil Painting Pet Art Portrait Donkey Farm Animal
Oil on canvas, 10" x 8".
I've painted this little burro before but this time I named her Christmas Burro. I love the donkey's serene pose and the highlights on her scruffy hair and untamed mane. The dorsal stripe and cross add graceful design elements I think too.
If you'd like to commission a painting please contact me.

Westie Takes a BreakOil Painting Pet Dog Art Portrait West Highland Terrier
Oil on canvas panel, 8" x 6".
Christmas Sale! This cute Westie is taking a short break but will be ready for more play and action soon. She just needs to catch her breath! She probably does a lot of sliding on the wood floors also when chasing a favorite toy. The painting would make a nice gift for someone who is owned by a Westie. If you'd like to commission a painting please contact me.

Christmas Wreath Welcome Oil Painting Still Life Art Red Door Home Holiday Decorations Architecture
Oil on stretched canvas, 10" x 8".
The 3/4" sides are painted making it ready to hang without frame if desired.
I had some fun with a decorated red door. The different shades of red/orange for the lighted and shaded areas of the door were luscious to paint and interesting to discover. Wanting to keep it simple, I felt free to just imply the wreath and ribbon. The light was most important! Puts me in the Christmas spirit too.
If you'd like to commission a painting please contact me.
