Bearded Pink Iris Oil Still Life Flower Fall Spring Bulbs Painting Green

Oil on stretched canvas, 16" x 8" x 3/4".

I thought that some of the Irises that I photographed seemed like pink gems so that is how I painted them. They have lush tones with dramatically flowing petals. They are contrasted nicely by the thick greenery of the leaves and stalks. The barely opened buds are held high on strong stems with these Bearded Irises.
