My Jane Magnolia tree is blooming and the shapes of its blooms are fun and exciting to paint. This is the first in a series of watercolor studies I'll be doing of these blooms which are reddish-purple outside and white inside. The flowers open just before the leaves appear, making a superb display. The possibilities are endless. Thanks for looking!
