A friend of mine has beautiful horses and I fell in love with this mare.  The photo I have shows her with her foal but I chose to paint her only.  She has the lovely turned head and neck and wonderful dark shadow helping to define her form.  Her windblown look is also attractive!

Red and Pink Roses Oil Painting Flower Art Still Life Botanical Garden

I painted this too late for Valentine's Day but that's okay.  Instead of a single rose, I used these beautiful shrub roses as models.  These red, pink and white varieties are actually landscape roses and are low-maintenance.  I love their layered look and frilly yellow centers.  Playful!

Heads up!  I like images of cows at their feed stalls.  This Jersey calf is looking up from a pile of hay and straight at the viewer.  I can hear the munching when it's quiet in my studio.

Window Cat Oil Painting Cat Portrait Pet Feline

Oil on canvas, 8" x 10".

I reworked an older painting that I did. I had painted this multi-colored fluffy cat on a windowsill with his shadow falling on a red tablecloth. I livened up some of the color in the background and softened the contrast of the shadow on the red cloth. This guy has the comfortable attitude of a cat enjoying his home.
